I don't agree with everything IP teaches but he's a fellow PostMillennial and this video is pretty insightful.
The gist is that there are two different Greek words for time, but in Modern English we largely only use the meaning that correlates to Chronos.
A lot of the Imminent sounding timing statements are just about nothing needing to happen first.
